Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) Program

The UPK Program is a federally-funded program which provides for 235 placements within the Clarence Central School District. There are two classes that run 5 days a week for two and a half hours per day, and the 180-day Clarence Central School District calendar is followed. One class runs from 9:00am – 11:30am and the other runs from 12:00pm – 2:30pm. The foundation of the program concentrates on early literacy and math skills. This coming school year, the Co-op will host 18 students with one certified teacher and two teacher’s aides. The District is responsible for the random selection of the students. In order to be eligible for the program, the student must be four years old by December 1st of the school year.

All UPK-specific questions can be directed to the Clarence Central School District at (716) 407-9100.
